Smith & Nephew Acticoat 7 Day Wound Care Dressing is a silver-coated contact wound dressing that delivers 7 full days of uninterrupted antimicrobial protection to your patient’s wound. The sustained release of broad-spectrum ionic silver actively protects the dressing from bacterial contamination, while the inner core maintains the moist environment needed for effective wound healing.

Two layers of absorbent rayon/polyester between three layers of silver coated polyethylene netting. Sustained release of broad spectrum ionic silver. The inner core maintains a moist healing environment while silver protects the dressing from bacterial contamination.
Barrier to bacterial penetration that can reduce infection in decubitus ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, diabetic ulcers, first and second degree wounds, and donor sites. Can be used over debrided and grafted partial thickness wounds.
Avoid use on patients with silver sensitivity or during MRI examination. Incompatible with petroleum based products. Keep out of contact with electrodes or conductive gels. Do not use if color is not uniform, package is opened or damaged, or has been exposed to temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius.
Directions:
Cleanse the wound with dermal wound cleanser or sterile water. For high exudate wounds, cut dressing to size, apply either side down and cover with a secondary dressing. For other wounds, moisten with sterile water, apply to the wound, and apply an appropriate secondary dressing.
How to Remove:
Dressing may be worn for up to 7 days. Carefully remove the dressing without disturbing the wound site. If the dressing is dry or adheres to the wound, moisten before removal.
