Acticoat Burn Antimicrobial Dressing, 4″ x 4″, 12/box
Acticoat Burn Dressing is a non-adherent, silver anti-microbial barrier dressing. Designed to protect against pathogens without delaying wound healing. The immediate and controlled release of ionic silver allows the dressing to remain in place for an extended period. Acticoat delivers 3 days of uninterrupted antimicrobial activity. In other words, Acticoat burn dressing is made to help reduce the risk of infection in partial-and full-thickness wounds, including pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, first-and-second degree burns, and donor sites. May also be used over debrided and grafted partial-thickness wounds. 12 dressings per box.

Action:
Consists of a rayon/polyester core to manage moisture and control silver release. The high density silver coated polyethylene mesh allows silver to pass through the dressing. The nanocrystalline coating activates within 30 minutes.
Indications:
A barrier to bacterial penetration that may help reduce infection in decubitus ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, diabetic ulcers, first and second degree burns, donor sites, debrided and grafted partial thickness wounds.
Contraindications:
Not for use on third degree burns or on patients with a sensitivity to silver. Incompatible with petroleum based products.
Application:
Cleans the wound leaving it moist. Apply dressing to the wound either side down and secure with a secondary dressing. Keep dressing moist but not wet to avoid tissue maceration.
Removal:
Dressing may be worn for up to 3 days depending on the amount of exudate. Moisten the dressing before removal. Avoid disrupting the wound bed when removing.
