Amiodarone injection is used to help maintain a regular heartbeat in people with life-threatening heart rhythm problems. It is a type of medication known as an anti-arrhythmic. It works by blocking some of the electrical signals in the heart that can cause an irregular heartbeat.

Amiodarone injection is used to treat life-threatening heart rhythm problems called ventricular arrhythmias. It is used in patients who have already been treated with other medicines that did not work well.
