BD 366430 Vacutainer Serum Blood Collection Tubes 10 mL Glass 16mm x 100mm, 100/box
BD 366430 Vacutainer Serum Blood Collection Tubes 10 mL Glass 16mm x 100mm. BD Vacutainer Plus Plastic Serum Tubes have spray-coated silica and are used for serum determinations in chemistry. Samples processed in these tubes may also be used for routine blood donor screening, immunohematology and diagnostic testing of serum for infectious disease.
Vacutainer Serum Blood Collection Tubes are evacuated tubes with a serum separator and a red rubber stopper. The serum separator is a thin membrane that allows serum to be drawn off while cells and other components remain in the blood clot. The red rubber stopper has a hole in the center to allow serum to be drawn off. Serum blood collection tubes are a common medical device used to collect blood. The tubes are filled with a serum separator gel that is designed to separate serum from red blood cells. The serum can then be used for a variety of medical tests.
- Sterile vacuum blood collection tubes for serum determination
- Spray-coated silica interior

Evacuated Tubes Simplify Blood Collection
- Blood is drawn directly from the vein into the evacuated sterile collection tubes
- Only one venipuncture is needed to draw multiple samples
- Tubes can be changed while needle and plastic holder remain in place on patient’s arm
- Closures are color coded
Hemogard™ Stoppers
- Safety shield designed for safer tube handling
- Rubber stopper is recessed inside the plastic shield, so any drops left by a blood collection needle remain isolated from potential contact
- Shield is designed to protect lab personnel from direct contact with blood on the stopper or around the outer rim of the tube, as well as from blood splattering upon opening the tube
