The Anti-Embolism Compression Stockings are designed improve blood flow from your legs back to your heart. Latex free.
How to measure for Antiembolism Stockings:
1. Measure the patient carefully to ensure that his antiembolism stockings provide enough compression for adequate venous return.
2. To choose the correct knee-length stocking, measure the circumference of the calf at its widest point (top left) and the leg length from the bottom of the heel to the back of the knee (bottom left).
3. To choose a thigh-high length stocking, measure the calf as for a knee-length stocking and the thigh at its widest point (top right). Then measure the leg length from the bottom of the heel to the gluteal fold (bottom right).
Ensure that patients who develop edema or postoperative swelling have their legs remeasured and antiembolism stockings refitted.

What does ‘Moderate Support’ mean?
Our stockings provide approximately 18 mmHg compression for comfortable wear. While appropriate for relieving heaviness or fatigue in the legs, this level of compression also helps improve circulation in order to aid in the prevention of varicosities and swelling.
