The Exos Short Arm Fracture Brace is a specially designed brace for the purpose of supporting and protecting major fractures of and injuries to the wrist. This wrist support boasts the exclusive boa adjustable closure system which allows for the tiniest of circumferential adjustments to be made by the physician.

Indications:
The Exos Short Arm Fracture Brace (SAFB) provides stabilization of the distal radius, distal ulna, and wrist joint
Contraindications:
Not for use on patients with known allergies to foams, adhesives, or plastic products
Precautions:
- Brace should be fitted by a qualified healthcare professional
- Do not heat the brace while it is on the body
- Ensure the brace isn’t too hot prior to applying
- Brace should be sized to the patient for proper support and function
- Take care with delicate or compromised skin to not apply the brace too tightly
- Instruct patients on proper tensioning and under sleeves to avoid friction and shear
- Do not heat to greater than 100 degrees Celsius
Operating the Lacing System
To Loosen:
- Lift the Boa knob
- Pull the tab
To Close and Tighten:
- Push the Boa knob down
- Turn the Boa knob Clockwise
- Ensure Boa knob is depressed into the locked position while worn
Heating and Application:
- Open and unfold the brace
- Heat the brace to 93 degrees Celsius
- Heating should take approximately 5 minutes
- Brace should be cool enough to handle comfortably
- Dry the skin thoroughly prior to application
- Fit the brace to the patient
- Remove slack by tightening the Boa knob
- Do not tighten fully until brace reaches room temperature
- Mold the brace into the desired position
- Once brace is hardened, tighten to the desired tension
