Description
IV Catheters -Prevent R Shielded IV Catheter Needles with Button Retracting Safety Needle 20 gauge x 1″, 50/Box
McKesson Prevent Shielded IV Catheter Needles with Button Retracting Safety Needle 20 gauge x 1″ are uniquely designed needles that are designed to reduce the risk of skin puncture injuries or needlestick injuries in case the needle is reused. They have two-stage safety protection with an outer safety sleeve that slides forward to shield the needle as it’s being withdrawn from the patient. Once the sleeve has shielded the needle all the way, a built-in “button” releases to retract the needle into the hub of the device. This feature helps reduce the risk of reuse of needles as well as eliminating exposure to contaminated needles. These catheter needles can be used for intravascular infusion for both adult and pediatric patient. They are lightweight, yet strong, with a low-profile bevel design, and are gastight for a trusted, secure fit that minimizes leakage. These McKesson needles provide additional safety for both the medical staff and the patient, giving them peace of mind to continue to provide the highest standard of care.
