Bayer Multistix 7 Parameter Reagent Strips work by detecting the presence of seven different substances in urine. These substances are glucose, ketones, blood, urobilinogen, nitrite, pH, and protein. The strips are placed in a urine sample, and if any of the seven substances are present, they will cause a change in the strip’s color. This change can then be used to determine the presence or absence of that particular substance.
