Ropivacaine HCL for Injection 0.50% 5mg Single-Dose Vial 30mL. Ropivacaine injection is used to cause numbness or loss of feeling in patients before and during surgery or labor and delivery. It is also used to relieve acute pain. Ropivacaine is a local anesthetic and does not cause loss of consciousness.

What is the difference between Lidocaine and Ropivacaine?

Lidocaine had the quickest onset of anesthesia, with a mean time of 1.3 minutes (range, 1 to 2.7 minutes). Ropivacaine had a mean onset time of 4.5 minutes (range, 3.5 to 5.5 minutes).
