Description

Xeroform Petrolatum Gauze, 2″ x 2″, Sterile, 25/bx
Xeroform Petrolatum Gauze is a sterile, non-adherent dressing that is composed of a petrolatum gauze saturated with 5% w/v of Xeroform. The petrolatum gauze is a non-woven, absorbent fabric that is impregnated with a petrolatum-based ointment. The ointment is a mixture of petrolatum, mineral oil, and white petrolatum. The petrolatum in the ointment forms a film on the skin that helps to prevent the loss of moisture. The mineral oil and white petrolatum help to keep the petrolatum from becoming solid at room temperature.
Dermarite Xeroform Petrolatum Gauze is a sterile, non-adherent, and medicated primary dressing that maintains a healthy moist wound bed, which is especially great for autolytic type healing. These deodorizing dressings are made with U.S.P. absorbent fine mesh gauze and are impregnated with U.S.P. white petrolatum and Bismuth Tribromophenate 3% to create a soothing, conforming dressing that won’t stick to wound sites.
